Rock 105.3 - The Northwoods Classic Rock Station

Sad news this morning about the passing of Robby Steinhardt.  Robby is one of the founding members of one of my favorite bands of all time…Kansas.  Who would have thought back in the day that a progressive rock band would have a violin is a main instrument?  It worked and Kansas had such great success.  I’ve gone thru more than one copy of each album from the band.  Although Robby hasn’t been in the band for a while his legacy will always live on with the violin and his vocals.  It all started back in 1973 and still lives on today.  Robby passed at the age of 71.  Thank you Robby for getting me thru a few rough times.  I’d put on a Kansas album, turn it up and sit back for 45 minutes and any stress would melt away.  Robby actually was in the middle of a project for a new album and a tour.  “Carry On” Robby.  You done good on this earth.
