Ice Nine Kills have released a music video for “Funeral Derangements,” a track off their new album The Silver Scream 2: Welcome To Horrorwood, which arrived on October 15.
The video, which shows the band performing in an eerie graveyard, is inspired by Stephen King‘s 1989 thriller Pet Sematary and follows an almost similar plotline.
“In perhaps the most ironic cameo in recent horror memory, we’ve tapped the amazing Mike Hughes, (Gage from the original Pet Sematary), to play the role of the reckless truck driver,” said frontman Spencer Charnas.
“An 18 wheeler, a twisted cat, a scalpel and an evil burial ground all come together in what I’d call our most ambitious homage yet,” he added. “Dig in.”
The video features cameos from Bill Moseley, Bedflower‘s Josh Katz, and James A. Jainesse and Chelsea Rebecca, who created the “Dead Meat James Kill Count” Youtube series.
Ice Nine Kills previously released “Rainy Day,” “Assault & Batteries,” and “Hip To Be Scared” from the fourteen-track The Silver Scream 2: Welcome To Horrorwood album.
