I keep getting these “memories” the past couple weeks on my Facebook. Each one of those memories is regarding “this date ____years ago”. Each one of those have been regarding the weather. Yes…each one is a past post about the first snowfalls of the year. ONLY to show me that it’s not far off. 🙁 In fact the first one of these I got was a couple weeks ago. Yes, we HAVE lucked out in the Northwoods this year. The weather has been incredibly unseasonable! Yesterday was (to me) THE PERFECT day! Not a could in the sky. The skies were a perfect blue with the occasional jet stream far up. The trees were colorful and on my hike all I could think of was how long before this is done. The leaves are falling off the trees rapidly now and the nights are getting cooler. I am quite thankful to at least have ONE day like we had here yesterday every fall season. Mission accomplished. Also thankful for the LONG, warm autumn we had this year. It’s inevitable so I guess I now get ready for the season of S_ _ W! Again, after the first snowfall it’s kind of cool to see again. Then as far as I care the day after Christmas it can all melt! No such luck. Anyway..thank you Mother Nature for giving me my perfect FALL day yesterday. Oh to have one (maybe two) more of those yet before that first snow hits? We’ll see. By the way…picture courtesy of ME! Love taking photos this time of year.
