I don’t know about you but looking at ALL those CYBER MONDAY online “deals” do not impress me a lot. I’m a firm believer in SHOPPING LOCAL I don’t think I need to go in to all the details on why it is a benefit. There are so many reasons. ONE of course is to support all our wonderful businesses in the Northwoods. Someone told me the other day that “it’s a little cheaper online”. REALLY?!?!? Those BIG companies always seem to have a gimmick that most people just don’t see. I can go in to many reasons on all that too but I won’t. Trust me, if it’s available at one of our local businesses then by all means GET IT LOCAL. If there is an issue you can take it back locally. A LIVE clerk at a local business can assist you. I really prefer that over the “HI, I’M CHUCK…Type what I can help you with”. OK, maybe you won’t get 100 percent on your list locally. You may want to get your Grandma a bottle of import Olive Oil from Greece. Understandable. But there are so MANY great things by supporting your local stores so just do it. Happy Shopping and remember…I should be on your Christmas list wink wink.
