Well if this past weekend is any indication of people “spreading their wings” a little more I think we may be making some steps forward. The establishments in Minocqua seemed to have a lot of folks visiting over this past weekend. It was opening day of fishing and I saw a few of the bait stores with lots full. Many food establishments that have been closed were open and the lots were full and downtown seemed to have folks walking up and down the sidewalks. LOTS of mask wearers (I think that’s good) which means people are still cautious and lots of stores still requiring masks of course but it was still so nice to see more and more people coming up and spending dollars in the great Northwoods. As people get vaccinated, as numbers of infections keep going down, as more and more events are being posted and returning this year I’m feeling a sense of getting back to the way things were. I can’t wait to have a cook out with my daughters and give them a big DAD bear hug. Can’t wait to have the family cookouts again. I think social distancing will still be a thing as we will still (most of us) be cautious and there is nothing wrong with that. I’m crossing my fingers that this positive swing (finally) continues and we have one of the best summers we’ve had in years. I can’t wait to get back out there with live broadcasts and visiting our many wonderful events in the Northwoods AND in the great Badger State. Can’t wait to see YOU! FOURTH OF JULY FIREWORKS AGAIN?!?!??!!
Things are REALLY looking up!
